Finally arrived in Reno! My new home... *sigh*
It's pretty incredible here. Gorgeous mountains.
Plenty of places to hike, ski, rock climb.
And the weather is so incredibly dry here.

I performed at my first open-mic night
at Walden's Coffee House. Met a great
guy named Jim "Cap" Stapp who plays the
drums (bongos) in a band that plays there
every week. He convinced me to play a
little and it was fun. I have a feeling
that will not be my last time.

Little did I know that Cap was a big
hiker, too. And he knows the mountains
like his backyard. It was amazing. He
took us out today toward Pyramid Lake to
show us some really cool places to hike
deep in the canyons around the
lake. Who thought the desert could
be such a cool place! Check out
